The Epic Hoax

Current human history dates back up to seven millennia.  The earliest attempts to record history for posterity were found around four major areas.  The most accepted is Sumer in Mesopotamia.  There is a big problem accepting that origin alone.  Humanity has not deciphered Nubian, Harappan or proto-Chinese writings.  The last two exist in zones of high population density today and this could support the belief that the higher the population, the oldest the civilization. Either one of the last two had much higher population density than Mesopotamia, then and now.

My topic today is not about the origin of civilization, although well related.  My interest lays in a hypothesis of humanity building history after-the-fact.  Everyday investigators analyze a "crime"-scene and build a hypothesis of what must have happened.  Let us call it Reverse Historical Engineering (RHE).  Using this method, historians changed from being fact checkers to historical engineers.  Sadly, these experiments reshaped history to levels that make it impossible for all these engineerings to coexist.  With the premise of "There is nothing wrong with not knowing" , let us start.

Geneticists accept that once two species evolve separately in time and space, it is impossible to rejoin with fertile offspring.  There is a chance that while two communities are still neighbors, the gene pool could intermingle again.  But once they become separated due to the development of a different niche or migration, there is virtually no chance to rejoin.  Having said that, the Out of Africa (OoA) theory will make it impossible for modern humans (Homo sapiens sapiens) to have mixed with any other humans like Neanderthals.  The gene pool would be incompatible.  Therefore, Modern Humans came out of Africa and spread around the globe interacting with up to five other human species, our species won.  99.97% of our genes evolved in Africa making it the cradle of humanity.  No other continent has all the species evolving to create modern humans.

Up until humans started to record events using marks on wood, stone, bones, shells, and baked clay, we know as prehistory.  The relatively short time before our species started saving those events to posterity could be consider the beginning of history with further advances in the future.  The accountability of time developed history as we know it.  Some cultures used moon, floods, and harvest cycles  as units, others used the sun.  Then something happened, humans got creative and wrote what they imagined including divine entities.

When Macedonians conquered Egypt, they found a civilization that was beyond anything they could imagine.  Around the year 280 BCE Ptolemy Philadelphus commissioned, some say, seventy-seven scribes to collect all legends, lore, scripts, beliefs, and verbal history within his reign.  This was included in the famous Library of Alexandria.  A new book was born known as the LXX or Septuagint.  This book told the story of humanity from its origins using legends and lore from around his kingdom.

Fast-forward to the year 30 AD (300 years later), a Jewish-Roman historian named Flavius Josephus claimed that there had a letter (never found) that told the real story of the LXX.  According to Flavius, there was a letter from a Jew named Aristeas to his brother saying that Ptolemy gathered 77 Rabbis to translate their sacred books to keep it in the Library of Alexandria.  This is the beginning of the Epic Hoax.  Until Flavius Josephus' claim, there is no trace in history of any of the events, characters, battles, kingdoms, or written history attributed to the Hebrews, Jews, Israelites, or anybody that appears in the Torah: sacred Jewish book.  Knowing that Flavius belonged to the religion that claimed the LXX as its history, is not hard to guess that he began the hoax.

If the Torah is a hoax, then is obvious that the New Testament is also the product of a hoax.  No one can deny that the four gospels in the New Testament have considerable amount of good and morale values within, that is not my point.  Followed properly, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam could assist a person to live a life of good for its community.  The fact is that it clings from the credibility of the Letter of Aristeas that Flavius never showed.

We come to the pinnacle of this Epic Hoax and one that defined, more so than the LXX or the New Testament, the history written by people that lived in Northern Europe around the year 1098 AD said that "Using the power given by the Christ to safeguard his lands, Northern Europeans marched to Palestine to free the Holy Lands from Muslim "infidels"".  Yes, there were crusaders that marched from France to Western Asia to fight Muslims.  Northern European kings and warlords claimed that poor, illiterate, poorly armed and not-so-well fed soldiers, marched, some on foot, from France to Palestine to fight rested Muslims.  Thousands upon thousands of miles to fight in semi-desertic lands against locals that were educated, trained and at home.  But wait, there was an actor not mentioned by Europeans.  They did not mention the Romans.  Why not?  Because in northern kingdoms beliefs, Romans disappeared 650 years before.  How could have they mentioned them?

Let us clarify something.  When the Roman Empire was still united, Constantine I, emperor of the totality of Rome, moved the empire’s capital to Byzantium.  In the Old Rome remained a viceroy subject to the empire.  In fact, Rome abandoned Europe due to barbaric hordes of Nordics constantly attacking the ancient Mediterranean capital.  Rome continued to exist outside of Europe, and they were thriving in Asia.  During the year 1098, emperor Alexius I requested the kingdoms of Europe reinforcements to fight against Muslim invaders that had taken the Holy Lands.  The kingdoms of Europe sent reinforcements to Alexius I and their arrival was registered by Roman scribes in this year.  Romans were able to reconquer West Asia and Europeans returned to Northern Europe.  What they did then is shameful even to write.  They claimed that they, alone, conquered the Holy Land and established a kingdom with a temple.  The soldiers in charge of protecting that Temple were called Templars.  Once the hoax rooted in the mentality of Nordics, they offered donations, goods, and lands to assist in keeping safe the Holy Temple.  Little did they know that feudal kings were feeding on their ignorance.  Sadly, for the so called Templars, they knew the truth.  To keep them quiet, kings all over Europe decided to kill them.  Their secret was not a Holy Grail, but a Holy Hoax.

Romans, called Byzantines later by Europeans denying the existance of Rome, kept fighting, every now and then a horde of Europeans came to reinforce them taking back to Europe pieces of wood, cups, bones, and other souvenirs to present them as relics and amulets from the lands of Jesus.  Even today the story of Crusaders crossing template Europe to fight in semi-desertic Asia, is believed by scholars and historians all over the world.

Its ironic that all of this was the consequence of a simple hoax started by Flavius Josephus during the first century of this era.
